Prescott Day 2: Wandering Around

As usual, we got a late start. We are definitely not the couple who is out at dawn enjoying the local scenery. It always at least 10 a.m. before we head out the door. Since it was so late, Mike suggested we wait for the afternoon to go hiking and take some photos. We headed into to Prescott to check it out and were pleasantly surprised to see a Western Art Fair going on in the park. It was packed with vendors and amazing art of all types.

While the art fair was interesting, it’s definitely not the highlight of our morning. For the first time ever, Mike and I tried a funnel cake. It was large and delicious though not something I would want to eat every day. The vendor was also selling homemade corn dogs that look equally delicious. Unfortunately, we were running short on cash (after buying some tri-color home made pasta) so had to settle for just the funnel cake. We have decided that trying a hand made corn dog is our new goal in life.

Beside the art fair, we did a little window-shopping in the Prescott antiques district. We visited 5 or so shops and only saw half of them! There is a lot of selection and we especially enjoyed the funky Mid-century pieces. I just wish we had a larger car so I could have taken something home!
