We made dinner reservations at the A-1 Palace but were not impressed with the dessert options on the menu. Mike suggested that we switch to the Sweet Tart Café when we stumbled across it while antiquing. I knew he really wanted to try Prescott’s “Most Historic Restaurant” so suggested we buy a few pastries to go. We went in about 2 p.m. so the selection of pastries was a little thin but the selection of “tarts” was awesome. I put tarts in quotes because these were not tarts in the traditional sense but chocolate covered mousse and cake confections. I chose a chocolate-cinnamon and chocolate pyramid. Both were delicious thought the pyramid was a little overwhelming when eaten all at once. The cinnamon tart featured a vanilla mousse and pear slice. It was subtle and sublime. If you are in Prescott and want a sinful treat, be sure to visit the Sweet Tart Café.
